About Susan
Carter
Going "behind
the scenes" ...
... personalizes an experience.
After all, I want a relationship with a person, not a Web site.
That is especially true if I am being asked to consider the
merits of a recommendation. So, on the assumption that many of
you have that same need for familiarity, this page is about me
... for you.
Artist, Writer,
Transcriptionist, Marketer, Account Manager, Administrative
Assistant,
Operations Consultant, Editor, Author, Infopreneur, Publisher
...
... At one time or another as I
traveled through life, I've been all of
these and more. A diverse and eclectic work history seems to be
quite common -- if not a prerequisite -- for a successful,
working writer. While I'll spare you the chronology of my
experience, I want to emphasize that the exposure to every twist
and turn along this jagged job trail has honed my writing skills
and enriched my innate, yet sometimes elusive, talent.
I became a "real" writer by writing
and actually being paid for that writing. But
I became a better writer by inviting the ever-expanding spectrum
of industries, markets, and mentors to influence me. I welcome
the continual challenge to absorb information
and discover new perspectives that a singularly-focused
experience would otherwise have hindered. Some writers are
served well by the narrowness of their reach. For me, success
came by being willing to explore possibilities and see where
they take me.
Today
...
... the majority of my time is
spent helping others to further stretch their own potential. I
continue to consult on business operations and marketing through
products I develop and recommendations I make on one of my
other sites, SuccessIdeas.com. But my growing passion and
pursuit is to help writers travel their own paths to success.
The writers I know who make a living -- a good and often GREAT
living -- are willing to invest in their potential. They invest
in products, in software, and in business opportunities that
will advance their careers and give them the "writer's life"
dream that they've been struggling to transform into reality for
a long time.
My wish
...
... I live my dream, and I want
you to live yours, too. The recommendations I make in the pages
of this site have truly helped me reach -- and exceed -- my
goals. I want you to have the same experience. It would be
foolish to say I could guarantee that you'll have the same
results that I've had; too many factors enter into that
equation. But I can guarantee that if you do nothing to expand
your abilities and potential, then you get what you've put into
it ... nothing more than what you have right now.
Regrets? Only one: that I didn't
start investing in myself sooner.

To your success ...
